Lindsay Boorman, Attorney

Shortly after graduating from Fordham Law School, Lindsay Boorman began her career as an Assistant District Attorney under Robert Morgenthau in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. As an ADA, Lindsay handled all phases of criminal prosecutions. Her work ranged from drafting accusatory instruments and presenting cases to Grand Juries, to jury selection, trial, and appellate brief drafting.

After her tenure as an ADA, Lindsay moved to the private sector, taking a position as in-house counsel for an educational consulting and publishing firm.  During this time, she advised the company on all human resources related issues and handled all contract drafting and negotiations. Lindsay negotiated and drafted multiple seven figure asset purchase agreements with McGraw-Hill Publishing and service provider agreements with the City of Buffalo, NY.

During her time as in-house counsel, Lindsay discovered a hidden passion for delving into the research and writing aspects of practicing law.  When Lindsay joined Thomas Weiss & Associates, P.C. as an Associate, she was able to feed her passion for research and writing and turned them into an invaluable skill sets for the firm. These new skill sets made her instrumental in several hearings on some very complexed matters.
