Many people know that litigation refers to the process of going to court to resolve an issue. Common litigation topics include one person suing another person for personal injury or destruction of personal property. However, many people are unsure of what the term “commercial litigation” means.

At Thomas Weiss & Associates, P.C., we offer matrimonial and family law services to clients in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and in all the boroughs of New York City – Queens County, Brooklyn (Kings County), Manhattan County, Bronx County and Staten Island (Richmond County).

In most commercial situations, the courts will uphold the lease, even when it is unfair and/or unreasonable. The general “automatic” or implied protections found in residential tenancies simply do not exist in these situations.

A litigation firm focused on individuals and businesses. Our firm represents clients in real estate disputes and transactions, divorce/family law matters and lien issues. We offer high quality legal services combining years of courtroom experience and successful outcomes with a uniquely deep knowledge and understanding of the law.
